As a fan of hockey sport, did you hear about Hockey Hall of Fame?

Hockey Hall of Fame is a famous museum located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, dedicated to the history of hockey. The museum organizes exhibitions of players, teams, memorable memorabilia and National Hockey League (NHL) titles, including the Stanley Cup.

Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 1943 in Kingston, Ontario under the leadership of James T. Sutherland. The first generation of honorary members was introduced in 1945, before Hall of Fame had a permanent position. The museum relocated to Toronto in 1958 after the NHL withdrew its support for the Hockey Hall International Hockey Hall in Kingston, Ontario. The first permanent building was opened in Exhibition Place in 1961. In 1993, the hall was relocated to the former Montreal Bank building in Downtown Toronto to locate the office.

An established committee consisting of eighteen people, coaches and others met each year in June to select new titles, referrals such as players, builders or officers on tape. In 2010, an extra part brought new wind for women. The list of builders includes commentators, general managers, coaches, group owners and those who helped build the sport.

And then, honorary members were taken to the Hall of Fame throughout an annual ceremony at the Hall of Fame building in November, and they are followed by a special “Hockey Hall of Fame Game” between the Toronto Maple Leafs and a guest team. By 2016, there were 271 players (including four women), 105 builders and 16 tape officers brought into the Hall of Fame. However, Hall of Fame has been criticized for focusing entirely on players from the NHL and largely ignoring players from different international tournaments in North America and internationally.

Hockey Hall of Fame by Lanny McDonald is the Chairman of the Board, and CEO Jeff Denommé operates. It acts as a non-profit organization called the “Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum” (HHFM), independent of the National Hockey League. Hall of Fame was originally sponsored by NHL and Canadian Hockey, earning primarily from ticket sales.
